JAH Forestry – promotional showreel and documentary work.

Over the past 6 months Land and Sky has been developing a diverse body of work with JAH, a forestry contractor based here in Cumbria.

JAH is going from strength to strength, with ongoing tree planting contracts spanning across the whole of the UK. In the 2017/18 season JAH was responsible for the planting of 22% of newly created woodland in Britain. The biggest of these sites, Westloch Farm in the Scottish Borders has a newly planted area of 583 hectares – wait for it – that’s 1.3million trees, planted by hand by 28 planters, over the course of 60 days!

It has been a real pleasure to learn more about where our trees come from, whether they are for industrial purposes or environmental schemes. Using drones, steadicam and Sony mirrorless cameras we have been documenting these operations in order to produce a corporate showreel of JAH’s services, part of which can be seen below. We have also created a body of stills, a 30 second advertising sting for social media, 2-minute promo and hope to produce a short documentary series in 2019 with the tree planting team.

You can see our 2-min JAH Forestry web promo below.
